 2 KAUA‘I MIDWEEK DECEMBER 22, 2021
The 38th annual Ha- wai‘i Pacific Health Great Aloha Run takes place Feb. 18-21, and it’s never too early to reg- ister and start training. Two months ahead of the event and I’ve got the first half of that list done — and the good news is that I don’t have to train too hard.

Partner up with family and friends to complete the Great Aloha Run next year.

“If you care about your health and wellness and enjoy Hawai‘i’s beauty, you can do the Great Aloha Run in a day or across four days, anywhere you wish,” explains founder Carole Kai Onouye.
Next year, she will be do- ing the Great Aloha Run at Ala Moana Beach Park with husband Eddie and new fur baby Charly Girl. “If you see me, please say hello,” she adds.
The Great Aloha Run isn’t just about health and fitness, though. It’s a big supporter of local charities, and this year will distribute funds from reg- istration fees to 30 nonprofits.
“What I love the most about the Great Aloha Run is that it combines health and fitness for everyone, and that it gives back to our beloved community,” explains Kai Onouye.
The 2022 event is also a
chance to drive into the iconic O‘ahu venue one last time.
