Do You Really HHave To Stress?
ave you considered the possibility that you can get everything done without stress? Lately, I’m hearing people say they
“can’t help” but be stressed because they have so much to do. It seems the reason they stress boils down to the fear of loss. Whether it is a loss of re- spect, a loss of status or of letting someone down, refocusing can relieve stress.
If you relate to “stressing out while trying to get everything done,” you can break the bond that ties productivity to stress by using focused intent. Say to yourself each morning, “I look forward to being productive, and experiencing a day filled with ease.”
Begin to reprogram yourself so that over time, you find yourself being productive without experiencing stress and being overwhelmed.
       The Gift We Give Ourselves
“I promise if you keep searching for everything beautiful in this world, you will eventually become it.” — Tyler Kent White
Forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts we can offer ourselves and others during the holiday season and beyond.

LIGHT
with Susan Foard
Iwas sitting home feeling sorry for myself. I’ve been a counselor for 42 years and with all the tools in my counseling tool kit, I simply could not get out of this dark, dark hole. I had been betrayed and was deeply disappointed in someone, which created a deep wounding in my soul.
wisdom in order to navigate this human experience. Un- cover your unenforceable expectations that you are de- manding of others. We have very little control of other people’s actions or behavior.
Feeling despondent, I dragged myself to work the next day and a colleague in- vited me to a training on for- giveness given by the well- known Stanford University educator and author Dr. Fred Luskin. I muttered under my breath, “Forget it, I know all of this.” But I was happy to spend a day out of the office and went reluctantly.
Today, remarkably, after all the forgiveness work, the per- son who so deeply betrayed me is now a dear friend. It’s not because I have blinders on but I do know for sure that humans make mistakes and that forgiveness is a choice and the gift we choose to give ourselves.
