VEGAS CLUBS have been defining and redefining “bottle service,” the high-profit margin sale of a reserved table that includes a bottle of alcohol, a host and sometimes even your own security to bypass the lines at the ladies restroom. If you really want to put a serious hurt on your black American Express card or spend your keiki’s college tuition, consider the no ka oi of bottle service at Bellagio’s night club, Hyde. Why have your bottle delivered by a mere mortal in a Superman suit or lingerie-clad ladies on Harleys, when you can have the power of Poseidon and move water? Imagine seating your party at the club’s best table, sipping bubbly from the world’s largest bottle of champagne (a 30-liter Midas Ace of Spades, almost 8 gallons of celebrating). Then you open the gold box on your table, push the red button and viola! … the lights dim and your table illuminates to reveal to everyone that you are the chosen one, the one person in the universe who can make the fountains of the Bellagio dance to the music. And who’s not shy about paying $250,000 for the privilege of doing so? … Can I get fries with that?
