Triathlon After-Party
Olympic- and sprint-distance athletes enjoyed snacks and music April 30 at Kalapaki Beach in Lihue following the Kauai Loves You Triathlon. The races included a Kalapaki Bay swim, a bike ride crossing the historic Cane Haul Bridge to the Menehune Fishpond overlook and onto the bypass road, followed by a run along the Kauai Marriott’s Kiele golf course. Joe Kali took first place for the Olympic distance race, and the first women’s team to finish the sprint distance course was comprised of Patti Jennings, Heather Barth and Cary Hiltsley.
