Paul Munet Wins A $100 Foodland Shopping Spree

Basket and hat weaver Paul Munet was the gracious recipient of last week’s $100 gift certificate to Foodland. Because he answered our very simple question correctly, the Kapa’a resident has some extra spending money for the vegetarian food he likes to purchase at the local grocery store.

Paul has been shopping at Foodland since he moved to O’ahu some 22 years ago and continues to patronize the business since moving to Kaua’i in 2001.

Paul works at Kamokila Hawaiian Village and uses coconuts leaves from the trees he climbs to create his products. He originally learned his craft in the Caribbean, but acquired greater knowledge after moving to Hawai’i.

MidWeek Kaua’i is something he looks forward to receiving in the mail every week, and he especially enjoys reading the cover stories.
