When she performed at the L.A. version of this thang, the Hot N Cold hit-maker who Kissed a Girl had Barack Obama’s face, stars, stripes and the symbol of the Democratic Party (a donkey) painted on her nails. Not the most expensive manicure ever – that title still belongs to Kelly Osborne (Kimo’s Vegas MidWeek 10/17), but it’s the first manicure to profile the leader of the free world … “Baby, you’re a firework.”
BARBRA STREISAND is the No. 1 best-selling female artist since the RIAA has been keeping track of such things (and that would be forever). In addition to several trophy cases of awards, including the Grammy for Lifetime Achievement, there’s a room somewhere filled with 51 gold albums, 30 platinum albums and 13 multi-platinum album awards. DUM DA DUM DUM … Las Vegas popo have identified the guy who sneaked into a restricted area of the Venetian resort and used high-tech burglary tools to steal $1.6 million in big dollar chips. Most Strip casino tokens have a built-in radio frequency identification chip to keep track of their every move. Check out the computer screen next to the table – some of them will even tell the pit boss how many chips stay in front of you. Since the high-denomination chips are only redeemable at the casino that bears its logo, the odds of you cashing in a million bucks is worse than your odds of hitting the Megabucks – and that is none compared to 1 in 50,000,000.

IT’S BEEN A long road, but the Neon Museum is finally open to the public. There are seven tours a day, starting at the top of every hour beginning at 10 a.m. Tours sell out fast, and the nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation recommends you book two weeks in advance; tickets cost $15. In all, there are more than 150 signs that date back to the 1930s, and it’ll bring back memories to see the old-school neon like the Dunes or Stardust.
