Kimo’s Vegas
WELCOME TO Kimo’s Vegas, The Player’s Edge!
DANCING WITH THE STARS’ Karina Smirnoff celebrated her engagement by hosting “The Ultimate Girls Night Out” (does that mean what I think it does?) with the Chippendales at the Rio. No word on what fiancé Brad Penny (L.A. Dodgers) did to reciprocate.
VEGAS TACKY … The infamous “strippermobile” was named for the clear plastic cube on wheels that cruised the Strip with girls gyrating on a pole. The owners voluntarily shut down the rolling bikini club when city officials complained that it was a safety hazard because it distracted other drivers. However, it was resurrected last week in the name of charity, hauling toys, Santa and eight of his best girls, albeit clad in a lot more than ever before.
STRIP TEASE … The Bon Jovi Live 2011 tour hits the MGM Grand Garden March 19 … and Boyz II Men are at the Flamingo now through Jan. 9.
LAST WEEK the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas opened its doors for the first time. Located between its high-end cousins the Bellagio and CityCenter, it joins the family of high-end resorts that include Wynn, Encore, Venetian and Palazzo. Over the next few months much will be made of the $3.9 billion resort’s merits and demerits. Much will be said about the difficulty of debt servicing and the meeting of operating expenses for such a grand endeavor in a down economy. Most experts agree that we won’t see another property of this scale being built right now.
FAST FOOD … The busiest restaurant in the country is the Venetian’s Tao Asian Bistro. They serve 1,500 meals a night!
