WELCOME TO Kimo’s Vegas … the Player’s Edge!

RICK FAUGNO, who plays Frankie Vali in Jersey Boys, stopped by last week to chat with Billy V during his Hawaiian105 KINE broadcast from the Cal in Las Vegas.

MANNY PACQUIAO has decided to fight again – the match will most likely happen May 7 (the weekend of Cinco de Mayo). No opponent has been chosen, but it’s never too early to make your rez.

COCKTAILS … Casinos in Atlantic City are testing a new system where you’ll never have to wait for a waitress to place your order ever again. COMING SOON to a cell phone near you … Experts are predicting that mobile gaming (the pay-for-play kine) will explode in the next few years. Imagine playing your favorite casino game or betting on your team or wagering on the next Dancing with the Stars winner for real money – all from the comfort of your cell. BOYD GAMING and MGM Resorts International have joined forces in an anti-arena lawsuit. The two companies are saying that the proposed 0.9 percent increase in sales tax for a new Las Vegas arena will benefit only one company, Caesars Entertainment.

PARIS BY ANY OTHER NAME … Hell’s Kitchen head demon Gordon Ramsey moves in at the end of January. Les Artistes is out and the Gordon Ramsey Steakhouse is in as the MGM Resort International “de-Frenches” the place

THE FBI’s latest report on violent and property crimes shows both activities were down in Las Vegas during the first half of 2010. Violent crime reports were down nearly 4.6 percent and property crime was off 12.7 percent.
