WELCOME TO Kimo’s Vegas … the Player’s Edge!

MANY PEOPLE LOVE to “go Vegas” on the anniversary of their birth, believing it to be an auspicious time. Paris Hilton got lucky on her 31st playing 21 at the hotel that 86’d her for 15 months. The heiress won more in 24 hours than some folks make in 365 days. She tweeted her appreciation: “Just won 30K playing blackjack at @WynnLasVegas.” Further proof of the “Law of Increasing Poverty”… or as we say in the country “the rich getting richer.”

SPEAKING OF getting lucky with Paris … Johnita Ejercito hit the 6 Card Bonus jackpot called a Super Royal Flush (9, 10, J, Q, K and A of Diamonds) by combining her three cards and the dealers three cards. The California attorney (see law above) instantly collected a $1 million payout and got to take her picture with the big check. This game can only be played at a Caesars property, and players must place a minimum of $15, $5 on the bet, ante and bonus to qualify. Visit us online at KimosVegas.com for the complete “how to play” link.

WYNN RESORTS IS buying out Kazuo Okada’s 20 percent ownership, about 24 million shares, for $1.9 billion over the next 10 years. The company said an internal investigation found him in violation of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and company policy otherwise known by the acronym CYO (Cover Your Okole), protecting the one thing a casino can’t ever lose: its gaming license.

CONGRATS TO Keith Smith, president and chief executive officer of Boyd Gaming Corp. Not only is he the first gaming executive to be named as a director of the Los Angeles branch of the Federal Reserve Bank, he’s also chairman of the organization’s board. Yep … the same Keith Smith that you’ve shaken hands with at the Vacations Hawaii mahalo parties.

THE CAL graced the cover of Las Vegas Weekly and the story was dedicated to Hawaiians living in Las Vegas. Specialty room chef John Witte (The Range Steakhouse), sous chef John Emron (Social House), sommelier Anuhea Hawkins (Nove Italiano) and sommelier Troy Kumalaa and many others were mentioned in the article. Get the link to read all about how The Cal and locals revolutionized the Ninth Island at KimosVegas.com.

45/45 PLUS 10 that’s the deal that Manny Pacquiao says Floyd Mayweather passed on. That’s as close to an even split as you can get, 45 percent for Manny, 45 percent for Floyd and the winner gets another 10 percent … Sounds like the Congressman is calling the challenger chicken.

AND THE NEXT Las Vegas Diva in residency is … drum roll, please … is really a divo … wait for it … five-time Grammy Award-winner Cee Lo Green. Look for the “Lady Killer” at the Planet Hollywood in the fall.
