PEARL CITY GRAD Shannon Aikau’s skills and local philosophy of “Built with Aloha” was featured on the History Channel’s Counting Cars. The show is about Danny “The Count” Koker’s restorations, building, buying and flipping things with motors, as well as the occasional pool table made from a Ford Ranchero. It’s a spinoff of the cable channel’s hugely popular Pawn Stars reality show. And on the episode with the Hawaii-born master mechanic, who’s been wrenchin’ in Vegas since 1998, he creates a custom bike for a disabled man.
