Denise Kamaka Wins A $100 Kmart Shopping Spree
Denise Kamaka was thoroughly surprised when she found out she had won a $100 gift certificate to Kmart. The Pacific Missile Range Facility employee was shopping at the Lihue store recently when she was approached by a MidWeek Kaua’i representative and asked one easy question, to which she correctly replied.
“This is a good store; it has things that I need,” she said. “I never come to Lihue without stopping here.”
Her shopping cart that day was full of items including beach chairs, cleaning supplies and sparklers for celebrating the Fourth of July.
Denise, who with Wilbur Parubrub has a 13-year-old daughter, Meighan, likes to flip through MidWeek Kaua’i and look for the advertisements.
“I’m always waiting for MidWeek,” said Denise who’s a graduate of Waimea High School and resides with her family in Kaumakani. “It has interesting stories as well.”
