Desmond Gilbert Wins A $100 Shopping Spree At Times

Desmond Gilbert was rewarded for being a good husband last week when he was randomly approached by a MidWeek Kaua’i representative at Times Supermarket.

“My wife (Melissa) was craving chocolate pie, so I’m getting some for her,” he said after he had just won a $100 gift certificate to the grocery store for answering our simple question correctly.

The Lihu’e resident frequents Times Supermarket because of its convenient location.

Desmond also frequents the pages of MidWeek Kaua’i and likes to see familiar names and faces, including his niece Mckenna Pascua, who recently was featured in the MidWeek Kaua’i poll.

“I always like to see if I have friends or relatives answering the questions,” he said.

Desmond is a Kaua’i High School graduate, and he and Melissa have two daughters, Coral (10) and Heaven (3).
