“Not only do I read MidWeek Kaua‘i, I adore it,” said Diane Wada when she discovered she was the recipient of a $100 gift certificate to Kmart just for answering a very simple question correctly.

Diane, who reads our weekly paper from cover to cover, was shopping at the Lihu‘e store with her daughter Niki and her twin grandsons Jack and Mason when she was approached by a MidWeek Kaua‘i representative.

Diane, whose husband, John, is FM97’s general manager, particularly loves reading Ron Nagasawa’s “What’s Next” column, and even keeps a clipping of it in her handbag for a good laugh from time to time.

“I also love that the stories are personal and heartwarming,” she says about MidWeek Kaua‘i. “They talk about people and their passions.”

A Lihu‘e resident, Diane works at the YWCA. She is excited to spend the extra money she won at Kmart, where she shops at least once a week.
