Kristeen Dobbs Wins A $100 Safeway Card

The sweet smile of her 16-month-old son Kauake’oke’o Aqui might have been what made Kristeen Dobbs so easily approachable at Safeway last week as MidWeek Kaua’i‘s newest Mystery Shopper winner.

Because she answered our easy question correctly, Kristeen was awarded a $100 gift certificate to the Kapa’a store which she frequents about twice a month.

“They have things Big Save doesn’t have more of a variety,” says the Kalaheo resident, a California native who moved to Kaua’i 10 years ago.

The stay-at-home mother, whose partner is Merriman’s bartender Kai Aqui, plans to purchase gourmet cheese or chocolates with her extra money.

“I like all the community events and the stories on the local businesses and artists,” says Kristeen of why she enjoys reading MidWeek Kaua’i.
