Mackenzie Moen Wins A $100 Times Shopping Spree

Mackenzie Moen was excited to win a $100 gift certificate to Times Supermarket just for coming up with the correct answer to our simple question.

The Kapa’a resident likes to shop at the local grocery store whenever she is in Lihu’e, and she prefers Times because it’s convenient and has a good selection of beer and sake.

“I’ve heard great things about their brown rice sushi,” she said when asked what she will spend her winnings on.

Mackenzie moved to the island about a year ago from California and works at the 9th Island Sports Bar and Grill as well as Aiyah’s Garden. When asked why she moved to Kaua’i, she said, “So that I can eat fresh fruit all the time.”

The best part about MidWeek Kaua’i for Mackenzie is getting to tap in to what’s happening in the community.

“I like knowing what’s going on around the island,” she says.
