He and wife Susan have four children – twins Justin and Micah (21), Gavin (19) and Kristin (14) – and he was excited to receive the financial boost to the Lihu’e business, which is one of his most-frequented stores.

“I go here a lot because it’s close by,” says the Hanapepe resident.

On any given day, Mark can be found picking up personal household items at Kmart.

He likes to flip through MidWeek Kaua’i and particularly likes reading people’s answers to the weekly Poll question. “Everything is about Kaua’i,” says the Waimea High School graduate, when asked what he likes most about the publication.
