Sam Mitzel Wins A $100 Kmart Shopping Spree

Wedding photographer Sam Mitzel was delighted to win a $100 gift certificate to one of his favorite stores on-island last week after he answered our one simple question correctly.

The avid Kmart shopper stops in the Lihu’e store about once a week to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables.

“They have cheap produce here,” he said.

Mitzel, a newlywed, married wife Kirsten seven months ago. He is originally from Pennsylvania and moved to the island five months ago. He owns Kaua’i Wedding Photography.

When asked what he likes most about MidWeek Kaua’i, the Kapa’a resident replied, the “cool articles.”

He also likes to check the MidWeek Kaua’i calendar to find out what’s going on around the island, and he enjoys looking at other people’s photos.
