A Colorful Day In Hanapepe
It got a little confusing for fans with four different sets of uniforms – not to mention multiple No. 3s, 22s, 60s and 70s on the field for the same team – in the Shriners Bowl, an all-star game for Pop Warner Football’s Junior Midgets division. But multiple uniforms didn’t seem to faze the young men on the field, who played an entertaining and high-spirited game at Hanapepe Stadium.
Representing the East side were Lihu’e in red and black and the Kapa’a Eagles in green. Representing the West side were Koloa in maroon and the Hanapepe Colts in black and gold. Yes, it was easily the most colorful day of the season. Congratulations to the players who were selected for the game.
