Cakes By Kristin Grand Opening
Guests sipped champagne and savored light, airy cakes framed in buttercream and orchids at the Cakes By Kristin Grand Opening Tasting Aug. 14. The pastry boutique, which also serves coffee and fresh teas, is located in the Kinipopo Shopping Village at the former Icing on the Cake location (former owner Andrea Quinn was among the guests). The shop’s namesake, owner and pastry chef Kristin Leikam, makes some of the prettiest desserts around, whether it’s mango crostatas, ginger snickerdoodles or high-end cakes.
