Excitement and optimism were in the air, and food was on the shelves, when the Hawaii Foodbank hosted a Hawaiian blessing and opening reception for its new warehouse in the Puhi area. Local officials and many volunteers turned out for the event Aug. 11. The blessing was an important first step in providing food free of charge to those who need it.
