Ka Moku O Manokalanipo Makahiki
The inaugural Ka Moku O Manokalanipo Makahiki took place Jan. 18 at Waioli Beach Park in Hanalei. It honored the traditional time of year from October through January when Lono, the god of agriculture, peace and prosperity, ruled the land. The event featured games for keiki and adults. Winners were awarded wooden medallions for their successes.
