Ka Moku O Manokalanipo Makahiki
Kauai’s community gathered Jan. 16 for the annual Ka Moku O Manokalanipo Makahiki at Anne Knudsen Park in Koloa. The day — which honors the traditional time of year from November through February during which Lono ruled the land — featured cultural demonstrations, ancient Hawaiian games, a craft fair and food.
