Kaua’i Marathon Vip Party
In anticipation of the Sept. 4 Kaua’i Marathon in Po’ipu, VIPs gathered Sept. 2 at Grand Hyatt Kaua’i Resort and Spa for ono food and an open bar. Honored guests kicking off the island’s third annual race included race director Bob Craver and Gloria and Robbie “Red Hat” Wilson, the latter of whom started running a minimum of 12 marathons a year at age 48. Now 77, he’s been keeping up that pace for 29 years in a row. Also attending the VIP event were Kaua’i Marathon founder Jeff Sacchini, and Bob Brazeau, who began training for the race while deployed in Iraq. To learn more, go to thekauaimarathon.com.
