Kamanawa Foundation presented the 12th annual Kaua’i Polynesian Festival Memorial Day weekend at the Vidinha Stadium soccer field. The event was packed with food, fun and festivities, including entertainment from Tahitian, Maori, Samoan and Hawaiian cultures. A highlight was a Polynesian dance competition featuring local halau and fire knife dancing, workshops such as weaving with coconut and hala tree fronds, as well as arts and crafts for sale, many of which were locally made.
