Lihue Court Townhomes recently celebrated the grand opening of its new community center with a blessing and open house that attracted businesspeople, government officials, residents and Mutual Housing Association of Hawaii (the nonprofit that owns LCT) board members.
The center sports 24 computer stations, a meeting room and kitchen, and it will be open for community-building and enrichment activities for residents. The Boys and Girls Club and YWCA also will use the facility for after-school programs for youths.
