Menehune Volley Voyagers
The visiting Waimea Menehune (pictured in the blue jerseys) posted a 3-1 victory over Island School April 23 with game scores of 25-15, 25-22, 21-25, 25-16. The Menehune and Voyagers also clashed in a junior varsity contest preceeding the varsity battle with Island School winning 22-25, 25-21, 25-18. The varsity squads have one more week of competition within the Kaua’i Interscholastic Federation and are fighting to represent the league next week in the Hawai’i High School Athletic Association state volleyball tournament on Oahu at McKinley High School.
