Niumalu Canoe Club Regatta Fundraiser
The Niumalu Canoe Club held its regatta fundraiser May 26 at Hanama’ulu Beach Park. The all-day canoe racing included na opio (youth), novice, open women and men, and master and senior master crew divisions from clubs around the island. Scores for first, second and third place overall were: Hanalei Canoe Club with 261, Kukui’ula with 145, and Niumalu with 136. The next regatta will be June 9, hosted by Na Molokama in Hanalei.
