OC-1 Canoe Race Celebration
The early afternoon of Feb. 5 brought in clouds and one-man canoe paddlers, who had started at Kalapaki to a short-course finish line at Wailua beach and long-course finish line at Kapa’a Beach Park. At the conclusion of the race, participants celebrated at Kapa’a Beach Park a well-deserved lunch.
Taking first place were short-course finisher Devon Hudson, long-course finisher Noe Auger-Sawyer and surf-ski finisher Rick Hays.
