Santa Arrives At Kalapaki Beach
Hundreds flocked to Kalapaki Beach fronting Kaua’i Marriott Resort and Beach Club Christmas Eve to prepare for Santa’s arrival. Instead of sleigh bells, it was the sound of the pu, or conch, that marked Santa’s arrival by double-hulled canoe, thanks to his paddling elves from Niumalu Canoe Club. Club members and youths from Hale ‘Opio helped coordinate the visit, and were on hand to offer Santa support when he was greeted by throngs of keiki eager to make gift requests and take pictures.
