St. Catherine’s Carnival

Families turned out in droves for the annual carnival May 6 and 7 at St. Catherine’s School in Kapaa. Visitors braved wind and rain to enjoy the event’s famous flying saucers, corn dogs, Filipino plates and yakitori sticks, made lovingly by parishioners. A silent auction featured an autographed Laird Hamilton photograph and a pink ‘ukulele. Funds raised benefit the school.
