The Beautiful Game, Indeed
They call soccer “the beautiful game,” and on a recent Saturday at Hanapepe Stadium it was just that as the junior varsity girls teams from Waimea and Kapa’a high schools met.
Kapa’a won an exciting and tightly contested game 2-1, but in the end it was the quality of play and the hustling determination of girls on both sides that lingered with spectators.
In photos here, the Kapa’a Lady Warriors are wearing green, the Waimea Menehune white and blue.
