Tiny Mights Tussle in Finale

Youth soccer is all about having fun. Judging by the emotion on the faces of these girls captured in a May 7 match, however, these young athletes mean business.

Team Onipa’a (pictured with white jerseys) fended off Makani Gold, 5-1, in the final regular season game of the Kauai Soccer Association’s Under 8 division season at North Vidinha Stadium.

While most action resembled beehive soccer, where players move in clusters around the ball like worker bees around the queen, Onipa’a mustered enough offense to oust its green-clad foe.
