Rays of sunshine greeted about 60 early birds as they began Thanksgiving Day with a Turkey Trot – running, walking or bicycling 5K or 10K. The informally organized, free fitness activity was sponsored by Kaua’i Path, Work It Out, Menehune Water, Kaua’i Amateur Radio Club, Communities Putting Prevention to Work and Iron Lotus Core Fitness. As part of the event, Kaua’i Path accepted donations to help fund its Adopt-A-Park commitment to keeping Ke Ala Hele Makalae – the East Side bike path -beautiful.
