‘Ukulele Contest at Keoki’s Paradise
The only thing perhaps sweeter than the sound of keiki singing is when it’s coupled with instrumental talent. For the first time, Keoki’s Paradise in Po‘ipu hosted an ‘ukulele contest for keiki age 5 and up, through 12th grade. The free event had well-known musicians judging the talent, including Ben Ahn, Kepa Kruse, Sam Bonanno and Derick Sebastian. Organizer Derek Kessler says he was pleased with the full turnout.
