• Pocky/Pretz Box (a two-pack box is 3 1/2-by-6 3/8 inches, approximately 7/8 inches wide)
• 1 6 3/8-by-11-inch cardstock, solid for kimono
• 1 2-by-3 1/2-inch cardstock, matching print for box top
• 2 2 1/2-by-6-inch cardstocks, matching for sleeves • 2 3/8-by-5-inch cardstocks, contrasting for neck- line trim
• 1 1 1/2-by-11-inch cardstock, contrasting for obi
• 1 4-by-4-inch cream/beige cardstock, for face • 1 2-by-3 1/2-inch cream/beige cardstock, for neckline
• 1 5-by-5-inch black cardstock, for hair front
• 1 3-by-3-inch black cardstock, for hair back
• 36 inches of 5/8-inch sheer satin-edge ribbon for obi bow
• 1/4-inch double-stick tape
• fine-tip black marker
• pink colored pencil or chalk, for blush
• embellishments like ribbon, flowers, beads, but- tons, etc.
• 5/8-inch self-adhesive Velcro dots

first scored line to this point. Cut the triangular piece off. Do the same on the left side.

Wrap around the box with the 2 1/2-inch left section overlapping on the top. Tape the 3/8-
inch strips along the angled lines to create the neckline. Trim off excess at the top and bottom.
Take the 2-by-3 1/2-inch cream/beige cardstock and slide this piece under the kimo-
no neckline and tape in place to hide the box front. Place the 1 1/2-inch strip just under where the neckline meets in
the middle and wrap around the box for the obi.
1 Place the 2-by-3 1/2-inch cardstock on box top aligning
one edge with the edge of the top. Fold over the cardstock to the back and tape in place.

Take the kimono piece
cardstock (6 3/8-by-11 inches) and place on the score board with the 11-inch length aligned to the top edge, print side down. Score at these points, starting from the right edge: 2 1/2, 3 1/2, 7 and 8 inches
For the sleeves, score 1/4 7 inches along the 6-inch
length of one side. Fold the sleeve in half without creasing in the middle. Snip at the center of the 1/4-inch scored line. Overlap the 1/4-inch sections and tape togeth- er, creating a side panel. On the other open side of the sleeve, tape the two sides together, 1 inch up from the bottom.
5 Take the 4-by-4-inch cream/beige cardstock. Trace and cut out a 3-inch circle for the face. Take black cardstock and trace and cut out the hair
pattern. Take the other black cardstock and trace and cut out just the top half of the hair pattern. Place
the face behind one of the hair pieces and tape in place from the back. Take the other half hair piece and place behind, aligning with the first piece. Tape pieces together.

Use marker to
draw eyes. Add pink circles on the
cheeks. Tape the head/ face to the front flap of the box, just above the neckline.
