SUPPLIES AND TOOLS:

1. Take white Hearty
clay and shape into a cone about 3 1/2 or 4 inches tall with about a 1 1/2-inch base for the unicorn horn.
6. Place the completed face into the jar,
overlapping the ends of the cardstock. Glue the horn on the lid. Glue ears.
7. For roses, roll a 6-inch length of felt in different widths (1/2-1 1/2 inch- es). Cinch one end and glue as you roll. Roll down the edges to create a rose. For smaller
flowers, you can go less than 6 inches. You can roll them like when you make ribbon roses. Cut green felt into leaf shapes and vary sizes.
When the ears
and horn are dry, brush on a coat of clear
varnish. Sprinkle the extra- fine crystal glitter on the varnish. Shake off excess. Letdry.
2. You can use the cone for the horn as is, or create a spiral texture on the horn by holding the ends of the cone in
each hand (the tip side in the right hand). Slowly twist the cone with your right hand while slightly pushing the cone down, creat- ing the spiral. Let dry.

5. Take the glitter cardstock and find the center. Using
the pictured sample as a guide, draw eyelashes with the black marker. Use the 1-inch circle punch to make two circles from the pink cardstock. Place below the eyes and adhere with pop- up Glue Dots.
8. Glue felt/silk flowers and leaves onto the jar lid, surrounding the horn base.
You can use a low-temp glue gun, but the high-temp will give a stronger hold. Roll up fringed cardstock for spiky flowers for contrast. Add ribbon and other embellishments. Tie a ribbon around the jar lid (optional).
