  TCelebrate A Fantastic View Of A ‘Honu’ World

• 3 mini craft sticks, 2.6 inches (No. 30160139)
• 2 or more colors of yarn/ embroidery floss in green, medium green, light green, tan/brown
• green or light brown acrylic paint
• white acrylic paint
• black acrylic paint
• clear acrylic varnish
• low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
• scissors
• small paint brush
• 3-by-3-inch green or brown felt, for underneath finishing • accessories like magnets, keychains, pin backs, etc.

       2. Coat painted sticks with clear acrylic varnish. Let dry. Arrange three sticks as shown. Let the end with eyes stick out a little more.
1. Paint three mini craft sticks Glue sticks together in the center to make it easier to weave. (sides and edges, too) with
green or brown acrylic paint. Let dry. Dip end of thin paintbrush in
white paint and make two dots for eyes. Let dry. Make a small dot with black paint to finish eyes. Let dry.
3. Take first color of yarn and wrap over sticks, going across the center. Wrap around three times, then move to space between next sticks and repeat. Make sure center is evenly covered. Knot the ends of the
yarn together underneath and trim off excess. Add more layers if you want center to be higher.
                      4. For weav- ing, start with yarn
coming up from below in between two sticks. Place yarn over stick to the right and wrap around once.
5. Going clock- wise, move
to next stick on the right and wrap
around once. Repeat these steps until you have gone around once. Repeat two more times. Tie off underneath.
8. Use your turtle as a charm or add a magnet to the bottom. You can also use it to decorate a gift or hang as an ornament for Christmas.
