8 KAUA‘I MIDWEEK OCTOBER 20, 2021
    Inspiring One’s Wanderlust
The concert announce- ments continue. Brooklyn Bowl, lo- cated in the LINQ Prome- nade, has reopened and has quite the lineup of events, including Hawai‘i’s own Maoli and Fiji, who will be sharing the island vibes there on Nov. 5.
From a variety of rock mu- sic that spans across the de- cades to the comedic banter between father and son, the show was endless entertain- ment.
Next time you’re in Vegas, add this show to your list. Check out thebronxwander- ers.com for more informa- tion.
Ninth Island Connection airs at 7 p.m. Wednesdays on K5 and 2 p.m. Sundays on KGMB.

From a variety of rock music that spans across the decades to the comedic banter between father and son, the show was endless entertainment.
Maroon 5 has announced two shows Dec. 30-31 at The Chelsea Theater at The Cos- mopolitan. We caught their New Year’s Eve show back in 2019 and it is still one of our favorite performances. Next year, T-Mobile Arena welcomes Tool on Jan. 22 and Dua Lipa on March 25.
Our favorite part of the performance is the story that led Vinny from the Bronx to the record industry and then to eventually starting a band with his own sons.
In sad news, the Backstreet Boys’ “A Very Backstreet Christmas Party” has recent- ly announced that all shows will be canceled for 2021. The group was originally planning to release a Christ- mas album this year, but is postponing both the album and concerts until 2022.

What is Las Vegas with- out Mr. Las Vegas himself, Wayne Newton? While previ- ously performing at Caesars Palace, Newton kicked off his new show, “Wayne: Up Close and Personal,” in its new home at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. Another missing show, KÀ, returns to MGM Grand Nov. 24 and is the last of the Cirque du Soleil shows to return to The Strip.
COVID: It’s not “just the flu.” MASK UP ∙ GET VACCINATED
The Bronx Wanderers, meanwhile, have moved from Harrah’s to the Westgate Hotel and Casino as of Sept. 20. Re- cently, we were able to catch the father and son duo, Vinny and Vin A., along with their extremely talented band, and the show did not disappoint.
People infected with COVID-19 are 3 times more likely to die compared to people who get the flu.
