we all know it’s natural to lose hair over
time, but this past year, the concern over hair loss is up. I hear it from clients, friends and staff — and it’s stressing them out!
After some research, apparently it’s happening to everyone. It’s called “telogen effluvium,” and it’s caused by stress or trauma. When stressed, up to 70% of new hair growth halts to conserve “energy” for other bodily needs, causing unprecedented hair loss.
If this is something that’s bothering you, remem- ber that your hair doesn’t define you. You define you — and it helps to know we are all going through it together. Hopefully, 2022 will bring our full manes back to help us “Rogaine” our hair confidence.
