Planting Kindness Across The Island
Mālama Kaua‘i, the Garden Isle’s first and longest-running community-based organization dedicated to increasing local food production and access to it, distributed more than 200 food-producing trees for free across the island. Recipients included Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants, small farms and community-based agriculture sites that provide food to those in need such as food pantries, schools and after-school programs.
