JANUARY 18, 2023 KAUA‘I MIDWEEK 3
WDim The Lights
hen a room is brightly lit, people tend to talk more about their outer lives and all the things they are doing. When a room is lit by
candlelight, the conversations become slower-paced with more thoughtful pauses and personal sharing.
I tend to gravitate more toward dim lighting when I am alone, as it elicits within me a sense of creative calm. It seems as though when the external lights are lowered, my inner world comes alive, and I get bet- ter ideas and seem to come up with more meaningful insights.
When the lights are on, my outer world gets acti- vated and I start thinking about all the things I have to do. Therefore, one of the intentions I’ve decided to set for this year is to spend more time in dim lighting. Will you join me?
Dual Complete is a health plan for people who:
• Have both QUEST Integration (Medicaid) and Medicare
• Could use more help to cover more care and costs
