WHO MAKES the best burger in Vegas? There are quite a few good burger joints in Sin City, and even a few great ones. On the short list for the latter is Fukuburger … Before you say “Same to you, buddy,” the mobile burger joint is the creation of Colin Fukunaga and Robert Magsalin. That’s right, it’s a plate lunch truck that serves burgers, and they are so hot, restaurateur Harry Morton (his name is likely on the salt on your table) immediately partnered with them for a brick-andmortar burger joint in L.A. The secret to their tasty beef is a proprietary blend of shoyu, wasabi, yuzu, pickled ginger, rice wine, other traditional Japanese ingredients and a special glaze. On the menu are even more locations, but you can catch the original just look for their daily Facebook post.
SPOCK’ED ON the menu at 35 Steaks and Martinis at the Hard Rock: some hard-rocking vino … Pink Floyd & Led Zeppelin wines.
GOOGLE SPENT $676 million to buy ITA Software. What does that have to do with Vegas? Well, they’ve cleared all federal regulations, and you can check fares quicker than you can say “Momma Needs a New Pair of Shoes.” Just type “flights” followed by the city of origin “HNL” to the destination city “LAS” (airport codes optional) and voila!, flights are listed and sorted however you choose. There’s a handy graph that lists fares by day, and it shows the price as you roll the mouse over it. Get the link to check this out for yourself at KimosVegas.com.
