Annual Kalo Festival
The annual Kalo Festival Dec. 7 at Waipa Foundation in Hanalei was filled with live music, local crafts and food. A kalo recipe contest also took place, as well as poi pounding, makahiki games and more. The event is intended to keep Hawaiian traditions alive and to educate future generations.
