KAUA‘I MIDWEEK 11
       Persistent MOr Obstinate?
any people over-give of themselves by hold- ing strong to the “I have to be it all and do it all” mindset. I get it. We all have people,
commitments and circumstances in our lives that we are responsible for, and there are times when we have to keep trudging forward through the “must do’s.”
However, is everything you do for others a priority over what you need for yourself? You might see yourself as persistent, an admirable trait where one does not give up on a direction or difficult goal.
What about obstinate? Being obstinate is when one chooses not to even consider another way. Is it time to wind down certain behavioral habits? Are you being “obstinate” to the point that you are draining your life force? It’s a fine line between persistence and obstinance.
