Jim Edmonds has been named a 2022 Good Neighbor Award winner by the National Association of REALTORS. Edmonds and his wife co-founded the nonprofit Permanently Affordable Living Kaua‘i, which provides homes and sustainable living solutions by partnering with other nonprofits to build affordable housing projects for service and farm workers. He and his wife also co-founded and own Emerald Isle Properties, a real estate firm on Kaua‘i.
Janice Ishihara is director of group sales for Kōloa Landing Resort at Po‘ipū. She will oversee business development for the resort. Ishihara has more than 20 years of marketing and sales experience in the hospitality industry. She was previously director of global accounts at HelmsBriscoe, where she negotiated contracts and proposals for various venues for clients.

FRESH FRUIT SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
• 2 tablespoons whey protein
• 2 tablespoons almond butter • 8 ounces unsweetened almond milk
• 1 tablespoon chia seeds
• 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
• 1/4 cup fresh strawberries
• 1/2 banana
Directions:
Cut strawberries and banana. Add all ingredients into blender, blend
to desired thickness, adding ice if desired.
